VPN stands for Virtual Private Networking.
VPN adds a layer of encryption between your device and your connected network by routing all network traffic through a secure tunnel. VPN protects your device while connecting remotely to UWSP resources such as restricted databases and systems or even while accessing the internet from unsecure locations like the public Wifi in a coffee shop or airport. VPN through UWSP provides this layer of encryption by routing your connection through the UWSP network.
