A degree at UW-Stevens Point is a quality education that you can afford. Our tuition is one of the lowest in the State of Wisconsin and the Midwest. In addition, students can take advantage of our Text Rental program to save thousands of dollars on their books!

Destination Wisconsin Scholarship:

Our Destination Wisconsin Scholarship is guaranteed* to any new undergraduate student with a 2.75+ GPA or 19+ ACT/980+ SAT who is not a resident of Wisconsin or Minnesota. Students will automatically be awarded this scholarship.

  • Midwest Student Exchange Program Students**: $1,000/year, renewable for 4 years
    • **Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Ohio residents
  • All other Out-of-State Students: $4,000/year, renewable for 4 years

The scholarship is only available to Stevens Point campus students. Students majoring in Applied Computing Bachelor of Science degree are not eligible.

Undergraduate Students

The basic costs for a full academic year (2 semesters) are listed below for undergraduate students studying full time (12-18 credits) at UW-Stevens Point during the 2021-2022 school year. When planning your budget for college, you should also take into account the costs of travel to and from the university and personal expenses such as clothing, laundry, school supplies, phone calls and pizza parties. * The total cost includes the following segregated fees: the University Center fee, the Student Activity fee, the Text Rental fee, the Student Health fee, the Municipal Services fee, the Health and Wellness fee, and the Green Fund fee.

Graduate Students

Graduate students please refer to the Undergraduate and Graduate Fee Tables, as the cost of attendance varies by program.

Part-Time and Special Students

Part-time (those taking fewer than 12 undergraduate credits or 9 graduate credits) or special students (those not currently seeking a degree) will pay tuition and fees at a varying per-credit rate. Students who are taking more than 18 credits will also pay tuition and fees at a per-credit rate for each credit over 18. Click here for the complete Undergraduate and Graduate Fee Tables.​

New Student Fee:  A one-time fee assessed on all new first year and transfer students' student bill during their first term of enrollment. This $125 fee covers costs associated with student recruitment, new student orientation and programming.

Degree Completion Fee:  A one-time fee that is assessed per degree level; Associate, Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate.  This $80 fee is assessed to all students during the term in which they are to complete the credit requirements for a degree and have applied for graduation.  This fee covers programming costs associated with commencement.

Please note that the New Student Fee & Degree Completion Fee have replaced the Matriculation Fee, effective with the Fall 2020 term.  If a student has already been assessed a Matriculation Fee, these fees will not apply
