When reputation is everything, how do you follow your heart?
A modern twist on the Jane Austen classic!

Based on a novel by Jane Austen
Adapted by Kate Hamill
Guest Director Erin Nicole Eggers

A playful new adaptation of Jane Austen’s beloved novel follows the fortunes (and misfortunes) of the Dashwood sisters -- sensible Elinor and hypersensitive Marianne -- after their father’s sudden death leaves them financially destitute and socially vulnerable.  Set in gossipy late 18th-century England, with a fresh female voice, the play is full of humor, emotional depth, and bold theatricality.

This fresh and playful adaptation of Jane Austen's beloved novel fuses music, dance and ensemble storytelling to create a romantic and playful story for the stage. Through humor, emotional depth, and bold theatricality we step into the world of the Dashwood sisters. Will the sisters learn that sense must mix with sensibility if they are to find personal happiness in a society where status and money govern the rules of love?
