Career Fair - Students

Career Fair Homepage

All PS&ChE majors are expected to attend the PS&ChE Career Fair on Thursday, September 25th, 2025 from 4pm-7pm. No registration for students is necessary.  A list of Companies that attended the 2024 Career Fair can be found below and once we have the majority of 2025 businesses registered for this year, that will be made accessible to you. Many employers extend interviews to students at the Career Fair which are conducted the day after, F 9/26/25 from 8am-5pm, here on campus. This is a great opportunity to interview with a variety of companies; whether you want to learn more about them, hone your interview skills, or are intersted in pursuing employement with them. Be sure to bring several paper copies of your updated resume with you to this Career Fair!

This year the PS&ChE Career Fair will be in the Laird Room of the DUC. We had 44 tables and 40 companies attending in 2024. Don't miss this opportunity to visit so many different businesses in once place just for you.

Did I mention the scavenger hunt? Student will have the opportunity to earn prizes by participating in a Company Scavenger Hunt. Specific questions will need to be answered at certain tables and the students with the most acurately answered questions and signatures will win prizes. These Scavenger Hunt forms will be handed out at the Career Fair.

What so I need to do for the Scavenger Hunt?

Students will need to visit the participating company's booth to learn answers to three questions that the company provided ahead of time (that can't be easily googled) as well as ask two additional pertinent questions. We are looking for engaging conversation. Each student will have a signature sheet that a company's representative will sign after the Q&A is done. You must turn in your signed form when you leave the Career Fair. The two top students from each class that has the most company signatures will win prizes. If you are really engaged the business representatives may note that as well, which could poentially be a tie breaker if needed.

What are the prizes?

The Freshman class has a top prize of a $2000 scholarship provided by the College of Natural Resources! The top two students in each class will win a Portage County gift certificate. Top prize is $200, 2nd place is $100.
