Career Fair - Students

Career Fair Homepage

All PS&ChE majors are expected to attend the PS&ChE Career Fair on Monday, September 23rd, 2024 from 4pm-7pm. No registration for students is necessary.  A list of Companies that attended the 2023 Career Fair can be found below and once we have the majority of 2024 businesses registered for this year, that will be made accessible to you. Many employers extend interviews to students at the Career Fair which are conducted in the days after, T 9/24/24 from 8am-5pm or W 9/25/24, here on campus . This is a great opportunity to interview with a variety of companies; whether you want to learn more about them, hone your interview skills, or are intersted in pursuing employement with them. Be sure to bring several paper copies of your updated resume with you to this Career Fair!

This year the PS&ChE Career Fair will be in the Laird Room of the DUC, allowing for up to 58 companies to attend (vs. 40 tables that were available last year). Don't miss this opportunity to visit so many different businesses in once place just for you.

Did I mention the scavenger hunt? Student will have the opportunity to earn prizes by completing the scavenger hunt for businesses. Specific questions will need to be answered at certain tables and the students with the most acurately answered questions will win prizes.

What so I need to do for the Scavenger Hunt?

Students will need to visit the participating company's booth to learn answers to three questions that the company provided ahead of time (that can't be easily googled) as well as ask two additional pertinent questions. Each student will have a signature sheet that a company's representative will sign after the Q&A is done. The student from each class that has the most signed companies will win a substantial prize. If you are really engaged the business representatives may note that as well, which could poentially be a tie breaker if needed.

What are the prizes?

The Freshman class has a top prize of a $2000 scholarship provided by the College of Natural Resources. The funds raised will determine prize structure. Our hope is to offer a $1000 top prize to each of the other classes, in the form of a gift certificate to Best Buy, with the hope of providing at least a $25 gift certificate to each participant who earns at least 5 company signatures.

Which companies attended our 2023 event?

There were 36 companies regsitered for the PS&ChE Career Fail with all 40 tables reserved.  You can view the companies that attended here. Be sure to note those that are hiring for the position in which you are seeking.
