Join us for an exciting trip to see the spectacular musical “The Lion King” at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in Appleton! Over 100 million people worldwide have experienced the magic of Disney’s The Lion King, and now it is your turn to witness this beloved production as it returns. Winner of six Tony Awards®, including Best Musical, this iconic show features a remarkable creative team from Broadway. Directed by Tony Award® winner Julie Taymor, it tells a story filled with hope and adventure, complemented by stunning visuals. You will also enjoy some of Broadway’s most famous music by the talented duo Elton John and Tim Rice. There is truly nothing like The Lion King.

Led by our enthusiastic trip leaders, Anne Rogalski and Rebecca Bauer, this outing promises to be a wonderful experience. The performance lasts two and a half hours, including an intermission, giving you ample time to soak in the show. After the final curtain, we will keep the fun going with a delicious dinner at Pullmans At Trolley Square, where you can relax and savor the evening’s memories. We are thrilled to have you with us for this entertaining adventure!

All seats ​for this performance are in the Orchestra or Front Dress. You will be prompted to select your preference in seating during registration.

Final payment is due by Wednesday, October 16, 2024. If you have not paid for your registration, you may do so by calling UW-Stevens Point Continuing Education at 715-346-3838, Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., to pay by credit card. We accept Discover, MasterCard, and Visa.​

Trip Information


The bus ride to Appleton from Stevens Point is an hour, so we will not stop on the way. Also, the bus has a restroom. We will arrive with plenty of time for you to stretch your legs and check out everything the theater has to offer before showtime!  ​

Theater policies


Bag Policy: Bags/purses with dimensions of 8.5x11x5 or smaller allowed but may be subject to search, childcare products (diaper bag, bottles, cups, snacks) (patrons must be accompanied by a child)-subject to search, and prescription medicines and devices allowed-but may be subject to search.  For additional information on the bag policy, visit the Bag Policy page.

Entree Selection - Pullmans At Trolley Square


Select one of the following four entrees (each meal includes side salad, assorted dessert bar​, and soda/coffee/tea):

 

  • Chicken Alfredo - Grilled Chicken, Linguine, Parmesan, and Alfredo Sauce. 
  • Shrimp Scampi Pasta - Jumbo Shrimp, Linguine, Garlic Butter Sauce, Breadcrumbs, Basil, and Parmesan.
  • Haddock – Deep Fried and served with French Fries.
  • Pullmans Burger - Applewood Smoked Bacon, cheddar Cheese, Onion Ring, Bistro Sauce, and Toasted Premium Roll, served with French Fries.

Since we make financial commitments in advance, no refunds will be issued for cancellations. However, you may send a substitute in your place. Please email us at uwspceweb@uwsp.edu to inform us of the substitution.
