Relocation Through Construction

Albertson Hall, at 900 Reserve Street, closed to the public on May 21, 2022. Construction of a new building to replace Albertson Hall on the UW-Stevens Point campus will provide a state-of-the-art support/resource center for our students and community members. But it also prompts questions about how and where services and resources will be provided during construction. Don't worry, we'll get you from relocation through construction.

The primary general goal of the new building project is to replace the aging Albertson Hall with a new, modern, significant, and safe facility.

The priority is on students and their learning needs while also following sustainable and healthy measures and standards.

Priority has been placed on creating an inclusive posture for the new building as a whole, focusing on the integration of student success services with the library and other University College units. This consolidation of services and department spaces under one roof, along with improved accessibility and enhanced wayfinding, will prove to be a major benefit to our campus scholars.

A new Student Success Commons in an open floor configuration will highlight the newly designed building. The reconfigured spaces will include the creation of a new one-stop space for student services support including relocating offices from other locations on campus. An at-grade, ADA compliant entrance will be provided with the reconstruction of the Specht Forum (the sundial).
