Financial Operations is a department within Finance and Administration, committed to providing a variety of business and financial services to support the UW-Stevens Point community while ensuring proper internal controls in accordance with UW System, State, and Federal requirements. 

The Associate Vice Chancellor/Controller is charged with the responsibility to define, document, implement and communicate fiscal policy, account for financial resources and to issue financial reports.  The Associate Vice Chancellor/​​Controller and Financial Operations office attempts to meet accountability requirements while remaining responsive to the needs of students, faculty, and staff.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the UWSP Financial Operations Office to serve the students and staff providing seamless business office services. This is accomplished by providing high quality support in accounting, bursar function, general ledger, gift and grant accounting, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

    New Workday Purchasing Card Course

    If you are a purchasing card holder, please check your Learning in Workday to ensure you have completed the NEW UWS - Purchasing Card Policies and Procedures Course released this November.

    A recent UW System wide notification regarding this course was sent to many individuals. It indicates enrollment was “successfully completed," however that does not mean you have completed the new course.

    Check to ensure you have taken the newly assigned course.

    1. Log into Workday
    2. Hover over Personal in the sidebar and select Learning.
    3. If a required course has been assigned to you, start the course by clicking View Course on the card for that course.
