Tonya Bechman

Tonya Beckman earned an MFA in Acting from Ohio University's Professional Actor Training program, and after several years in the midwest, she now lives and works in Washington DC, where she's appeared at The Kennedy Center, Shakespeare Theatre Company, Folger Theatre, Round House Theatre, Arena Stage, Studio Theatre, Ford's Theatre, Olney Theater Center, Theater J, and Forum Theatre, among others. Regional credits include productions at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Cleveland Play House, Center Stage, Fulton Theatre, Purple Rose Theatre, Public Theatre of Maine, Totem Pole Playhouse, and Human Race Theatre, among others.  Tonya is a company member at Taffety Punk Theatre Company, a small Washington DC ensemble that focuses on the integration of text, music, and dance, with an emphasis on Shakespeare. When she's not acting, Tonya teaches dialects, voice, Shakespeare, and acting, and also works as a dialect coach for a variety of theatre companies. www.tonyabeckman.com.
