Students at UW-Stevens Point are not exempt from the enforcement of local, state, or federal laws. Students, whether on or off campus, who violate the law may be and have been arrested and prosecuted.

Primary responsibility for law enforcement, including that related to alcohol and illegal drugs, rests with law enforcement agencies, to include the UW-Stevens Point University Police and the City of Stevens Point Police Department.
