PHYS 101 - General Physics

Professional Experience
Physics and astronomy teacher, Stevens Point Area Senior High School, 1995-2013.

Accomplished 25-year career in the United States Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer, retired at a rank of Captain after a two-year command of a naval vessel with a crew of 200.

Physics instructor, U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, MD, 1985-1988

Algebra instructor, Central Texas College overseas campus, Sasebo, Japan, 1990

Air Intercept Control instructor, Fleet Combat Training Center, San Diego, CA, 1974-1976.

Extensive leadership and management experience gained during Naval career on board ships, as sealift ship program manager in the office of the Chief of Naval Operations, and as Executive Assistant to the Director, Division of Mathematics and Science, U.S. Naval Academy.

Other Interests 
Extensive involvement in the Portage County, WI community, including the Boy Scouts, Community Foundation, St. Stanislaus Parish, American Suzuki Foundation, and Barbershoppers.
