One of the objectives of the SDPI is to remove the use of SSN. The SSN is being replaced with the University Person ID as an employee's or student's primary identification number.
The University Person ID number is the best replacement.
Although University Person ID numbers are not, strictly speaking, confidential, they should not be handled casually, and, particularly when used or stored in large quantities, should be well-protected.
Your University Person ID is your unique identification number. The nine digit Person ID is the primary number associated with your identity at the University for all students and employees. This number appears on your University ID card. If you don't have a University ID card, you can get one at the Point Card Office.
