An annual reception is held each fall for new faculty and staff to mix, mingle and build cross-campus connections. Light refreshments are served. Enjoy a special presentation by the chancellor and meet your new colleagues.

Professional and passport photo sessions are available right on campus.

Faculty and staff are eligible for a professional photo every 2 years and encouraged to update them every five years.

If you need a photo for a newspaper, magazine or other media outlet, our photographer can take and submit the photo directly to that medium.

CASE staff will ask for your basic contact information (name, location, email, phone) and will post your job free of charge. Your posting will go live within 1 business day and students will contact you directly to apply for your position. You set the parameters for the job (timeline, pay rate, etc.). Either an hourly wage or rate for the job is required. CASE staff can help in determining appropriate pay rates for your position. Interested students will contact you directly to apply for the job you have posted. You decide who you will hire. You are responsible for the direct payment to the student. Employees may use the University Library. The UWSP ID card is used to borrow materials from the library.

UWSP's Library offers faculty and instructional staff resources to support instruction and course work. Faculty and staff are encouraged to borrow and use physical and electronic resources, such as books, magazines, journals, and more for professional and personal development.

The planetarium is located on the second floor of the Science Building directly above the east main entrance. The planetarium presents public programs through the academic year and during most summers. There is no charge for our public programs.

The observatory is located on the fourth floor of the Science Building and houses a Meade 0.4-m telescope. The observatory is only open if the skies are CLEAR. Normally, the observatory is open on clear evenings Monday through Wednesday when university classes are in session.  Usually, this is from mid-September to mid-December and from late-January to mid-May. Most summers the observatory is closed.

The Museum of Natural History is an integral resource within the College of Letters and Science of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point housing ethnographic and natural science research collections reflecting the diversity in nature and among human cultures.

 

The Aber Suzuki Center is the only Suzuki program in the state, and one of the few in the nation, affiliated with a university. It is one of the most extensive programs in the country for students, offering classes in Suzuki Early Childhood Education, violin, viola, cello, bass, voice, piano, guitar, flute, harp, chamber music, and orchestra. The Suzuki program is also open to adult learners.

UW-Stevens Point has a membership with the Portage County Business Council (PCBC). This membership provides all UW-Stevens Point employees opportunities for learning and improving career and personal/hobby skills, networking, business tours, and more!
