Work Control Center

The Work Control Center is the communications hub for Facility Services, handling well over 14,000 requests per fiscal year for maintenance services, custodial services, grounds, and vehicle maintenance.


The Work Control Center can assist campus with the following: 

    
•Efficiently handle of urgent facility work requests

•Answer billing questions

•Dispatch appropriate service professional technicians

•Check on the status of work requests

•Route work orders to supervisors and technicians

•Process work order charges from internal and external service providers

If you require immediate assistance or have an emergency, during normal business hours (7:00 am through 10:00 pm M-F), please call the Work Control Center.

How will I know if my "Work Request" was received or not?

Our customers receive a series of email communications. The Email field is a requirement on the Work Request link so we ensure communication with you throughout your Work Request process. From start to finish - we make sure you are aware of what is going on with your Work Request.


In the case of an emergency, or if you have additional questions, our Work Control Center is also available to answer questions at 715-346-4219, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., M-F.

What services that you offer are chargeable to our department?

As a general rule, if the request is for an item/task not a part of the structure of the building or it is not a part of the routine maintenance, it is chargeable.  For more specific inquiries or needs, please contact the Facility Services Work Order Control Center at 715-346-4219 (ext. 4219) or review UWSP Facility Services Chargeback Policy.

How do I know if my work request has been processed?

Facility Services sends out three e-mails for each work request:  The first e-mail lets you know that your request has been accepted and turned into a work order.  The e-mail looks like this:

This email has been electronically generated, so please do not respond to this email.

Thank you for your request. Your Work Order WO# has been created on Date by the Facility Services Work Control Center. Please keep the work order number for your records. Additional emails will follow when your work order has been finished by the technician and then again when your work order has been completed and processed in WISDM with any applicable charges. The second e-mail lets you know that the Technician is finished (or done) with the work that you requested.  Keep in mind that when you receive this e-mail, charges have not been reviewed yet, and may not be complete/correct.  The e-mail looks like this:

The Action Requested for Work Order WO# has been updated by the Facility Services Work Control Center to finished by the technician. You will receive a follow up email when the work order is completed and processed in WISDM with any applicable charges. To see work order detail see the link below.
