Biography:
I am thrilled to have been a part of the UWSP Counseling Center for over ten years. My background includes work in 4 different university settings as well as extensive clinical experience in skilled nursing facilities, outpatient medical clinics and large research hospitals. I greatly enjoy working with students as they navigate complicated situations, and I am comfortable working with issues that range from straightforward personal concerns to serious traumas and mental health disturbances. I regularly use my Neuropsychology subspecialty to explain WHY interventions or treatments are effective, especially in my education & prevention work on campus. In addition to providing therapy, I coordinate most psychological education and prevention efforts on campus, collaborate with trans* and non-binary students considering gender-affirming healthcare options, speak at professional conferences, and can be found outside of the office advocating for student mental health almost every day.
In my free time, I can typically be found hiking, cycling, disc-golfing, gardening, downhill skiing or feeding my almost-unhealthy obsession with the Green Bay Packers.
