UW-Stevens Point is honored to be hosting the Wisconsin Science Olympiad​ State Tournament April 12-13, 2024. Up to 2,500 middle and high school students, coaches​​ and families from across the state will be attendance.

Friday, April 13​, 2024: UWSP Showcase Day
Attendees will have the opportunity to attend workshops, activities and tours around campus.

Saturday, April 12, 2024: Wisconsin Science Olympiad State Tournament
Attendees will be competing at numerous sites on the UWSP campus.

​Opening and Awards Ceremonies

Location for both: Quandt Gymnasium, Marshfield Clinic Health System Champions Hall
Opening Ceremonies: Friday, April 12, 2024 | 4 p.m.
3:45 p.m. Teams report to the Quandt and start lining up for the Parade of Schools
Awards Ceremonies: Saturday, April 13, 2024 | 4:15 p.m.
Be sure to bring all of your belongings with you to the Awards Ceremony.​​

"As a large public institution, UW-Stevens Point will be the site of multiple public events at the same time as the Wisconsin Science Olympiad activities. The public access and active construction at UWSP require that assigned chaperones or parents/guardians accompany minors during all activities and are responsible for their supervision, custodial care, and safety."​

Parking

Bus Parking ​

  • ​Back of Lot Q and W
  • West side of Illinois St.(section from Maria Dr. to Lot T)
  • Bus parking also available at Stevens Point Area Senior High, 1201 North Point Dr., Stevens Point for Saturday, April 13 only.

We encourage buses to drop off at the Marshfield Clinic Health System Champions Hall (fourth Ave.) for check-in and pick-up after the awards ceremony. Bus drop-off to any building is encouraged with parking at the locations listed above or at the hotel where the team is staying.​

Bus Parking at Schmeeckle Reserve Visitor Center
Buses are welcome to park in the gravel, overflow lot east of the main parking lot as room allows.

Vehicle Parking

  • Friday, April 12: Free in any legal spot in lot R and lot T
  • Saturday, April 13: Free in any legal UWSP parking lots except lot D

Street Parking is monitored by the city.​​​

Upper DeBot Dining Center (largest capacity)
Location: 325 Isadore St.
Friday hours: Lunch- 11 a.m.-2 p.m. | Dinner- 4 - 7 p.m.
Saturday hours: Brunch 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
All-you-care-to-eat stations featuring a wide variety of cuisine.

Lower DeBot Marketplace
Location: 325 Isadore St.
Friday hours: 9 a.m.- 9 p.m. (Retail) | 1-8 p.m. (Stations include​ grilled options, Mexican cuisine, salads & wraps, pizza and more.)
Saturday hours: 1- 9 p.m. (Retail) 

DUC Food Court
Location: Second floor of the Dreyfus University Center
Friday only:  10:30 a.m.- 3 p.m. 

Stations include grilled options, pasta dishes, wings, soup, sushi, Asian cuisine, pizza, sandwiches, and more.​

Homegrown Café
Location: First floor of the Dreyfus University Center
Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. (Friday)  
            8 a.m. - 2 p.m. (Saturday) 
Smoothies, coffee, grab-and-go options like soup, sandwiches, salads, fruit and bakery items.

Common Ground Café
Location: First floor of the Chemistry Biology Building
Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. (Friday)  
            8 a.m. - 2 p.m. (Saturday) 
"We proudly serve Starbucks." Grab-and-go options like sandwiches, salads, fruit and bakery items.

Basement Brewhaus​
Location: Lower level of the Dreyfus University Center
Hours: 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. (Friday)
            9 a.m. - 10 p.m. (Saturday) Coffee, smoothies, Point soda, milkshakes, soup, bakery items and snacks.

Stevie’s Food Truck
Location: Behind the Welcome Center in Lot T
