Details​

STEAM Point Days is a one-day conference focusing on topics and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.

  • Attend multiple workshops of your choice
  • Explore UW-Stevens Point campus and see/hear what it’s like to be a UWSP College Student
  • Receive a T-shirt, workshop supplies and lunch

*While STEAM Point Days offers a day specifically for Boys and Girls, all students are welcome to attend any dates. 

Registration Information

Registration is open. Registration closes January 8, 2025

School groups and individuals are encouraged to attend. Pre-registration is required. Please visit our registration page for more information and instructrions on how to register. Contact customer service at 715-346-3838 for assistance.

​Registration Fees:
$40 Student
$25 Chaperone

Call us if paying by check. Please note​: Only ​one school check for the entire group will be accepted. 

Teaching aides: Some children require a teaching aide in order to attend the event.  Please contact us if a teaching aide is required. 

Chaperones: One chaperone may attend,​ free of charge, for every 10 students in attendance with their school. This free spot is only available under the condition that the chaperone agrees to attend all three assigned sessions and assist in classroom management. This means that, as a parent chaperone, you may not be assigned to the same classroom as your child. For more information please contact                       uwspce-youth@uwsp.edu.

2025 Welcome Speakers


Beth Kinslow 

Associate Pofessor and the Master of Science in Athletic Training Program 

University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point - School of Health Science and Wellness​

​Beth Kinslow is an associate professor in the School of Health Science and Wellness and the Master of Science in Athletic Training program at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and an adjunct faculty at Rocky Mountain University of Health Care Professions.  She received her bachelor's degree in athletic training from UW-Stevens Point in 2002, her master's in exercise & sport psychology from Oregon State in 2006 and her doctoral degree from Rocky Mountain University of Health Care Professions in 2017. Beth's professional interests include teaching students the importance of patient-centered care, understanding the impact of mental health in today's society, and providing realistic learning opportunities within the classroom and clinical settings through simulations.

Cassie Zblewski

Medical Lab Sc​​ientist​

Cassie Zblewski graduated from UW-Stevens Point in 2015 with her Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science.  Since graduation she has worked in hospital labs, clinic labs and in the lab at Student Health Service at UW-Stevens Point.  Her favorite part about being a Medical Laboratory Scientist is knowing she is making a difference by providing laboratory results used to diagnose and treat patients of all ages.  She has worked directly with patients in all of her roles and loves interacting with them.  Cassie lives in the country with her husband and three children (ages 8, 6 and 4), along with their two dogs and cat.  She loves spending time outdoors with her family and reading.    ​

Scholarships


Scholarships are limited and available only to students upon written recommendation by a teacher, parent, or school administrator. Scholarship requests must include the name of the student in need of scholarship, a reason for the request, and the school's name.

Cancellation Policy


Full refunds will be made upon written request to uwspceweb@uwsp.edu up until the registration deadline date. No refunds will be given if the cancellation is received after the registration deadline date has passed. Programs that involve pre-ordering of materials and travel will not qualify for any refund. Substitutions can be made at any time, but no shows will be responsible for the full workshop fee. 

We reserve the right to cancel due to low enrollment, severe weather, or instructor illness. A refund will be issued under any of these conditions. BE SURE to provide your email address and phone number during registration so that we may contact you if a class is cancelled for any reason.
