Our Door County Adventure

Renard's Cheese - Click here to visit their website

We start our Door County adventure in Sturgeon Bay at the famous Renard's Cheese Store. Established in 1961, Renard’s Cheese is a family owned and operated cheesemaking business in Door County, Wisconsin. Their selection includes Cheddars, Colby, Farmers, Muenster, Brick, Marble, Monterey Jack, Mozzarella String, Smoked String and over 50 flavor infused specialty cheeses. We'll have plenty of time to browse the shop and pick up some cheese to take home! Renard's also sells wine and liquor from most major wineries and distilleries in Door County!

Door County Maritime Museum - Click here to visit their website

Our next stop is the Door County Maritime Museum where we'll learn about Great Lakes maritime history with a focus on Door County. A docent guided private tour will teach us about the area's rich maritime roots while taking a look into the lives of brave ship captains, hardy fishermen, brilliant inventors, and exceptional craftsmen. A trip to the maritime museum will certainly help us appreciate our visit to Door County on a deeper level!

Pellitiers Fish Boil - Click here to visit their website

Lunch will be served at Pelletier's Restaurant and Fish Boil, where we will experience a traditional Door County fish boil! Fish boils are a must for any Door County traveler and Pelletier's is considered by many to be one of the best on the penninsula!

Lautenbach's Orchard Country - Click here to visit their website

The stop that this trip is built around is Lautenbach's Orchard Country, a family owned orchard where we will pick our very own Door County cherries! Founded in 1955, Lautenbach's has grown from a small farm to one of the most respected wine, cider, and fruit producers in not just Door County, but in the entire state of Wisconsin! Bob Lautenbach, the pioneer who is largely responsible for Orchard Country's success, passed away in July of 2021. He is succeeded by his three children who work hard to keep Bob's love for his orchard alive and thriving.

Door 44 Winery - Click here to visit their website

Our final stop is Door 44 Winery. Door 44 is a state of the art winery with a six acre vineyard on the property. Here we will taste wine, relax, and enjoy the beautiful scenery before packing up and heading home. Door 44 is the perfect way for us to end our Door County County adventure!
