The Fisheries Analysis Center is a collaborative venture between the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR), Wisconsin Cooperative Fishery Research Unit and the College of Natural Resources at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Our staff includes fishery scientists, students, and staff from UWSP and DNR from across the state.
The Fisheries Analysis Center provides three primary services to fisheries management agencies in the state of Wisconsin and beyond:
1) Analysis of fish population dynamics and demographics as they relate to fisheries management and environmental variability.
2) Development, implementation, and evaluation of methods for estimating the age and growth of fish.
3) Technical training (seminars and short courses) for fisheries professionals and students.
