This is a quick look at the Herpetology collection. Specimens that are stored in ethanol or isopropyl alcohol are kept in specially designed jars.

This is a portion of the Herp lab.

Here, Dr. Wild, student employees, and students involved in research projects keep and raise herps of several different species. Keeping and caring for live animals allows them to conduct studies concerning things such as reproduction and behavior. Along with preserved specimens from the collection, these live herps help to educate students enrolled in Biology 376 (Herpetology).
