Paraguay has a rich diversity of mammals including one of the highest
species diversity of armadillos in the world. Paraguay has an number of
outstanding organizations like the Fundacion Moises Bertoni and the
Fundacion DeSdel Chaco engaged in conservation and environmental
education. Species accounts of Paraguayan mammals were written by
students enrolled in the mammalogy course at UW-Stevens Point. These
accounts are fashioned after student-published accounts on
Animal Diversity Web, recognized as one of the premier educational sites on organismal diversity in the world.
Species
