As seniors at the
University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point prepare for their upcoming commencement,
the university’s Wind Ensemble will present its final concert of the year,
“Ceremony.”
Held Wednesday,
April 29, at 7:30 p.m. in Michelsen Hall of the Noel Fine Arts Center, the
concert will be conducted by Interim Director of Bands Jonathan Caldwell.
The
program includes Paul Dukas’ “Fanfare pour précéder La peri,” Vincent
Persichetti’s “Pageant,” Steven Bryant’s “Ecstatic Waters” and Stevens Point
composer Ernest Weber’s “The Great Century.”
A part of
the Music Department Scholarship Series, the concert is $8.25 for the public,
$5.25 for senior citizens, $4.25 for youth and students. Tickets are free the
day of the concert for UW-Stevens Point students with I.D. Tickets are
