UW-Stevens Point at Wausau to host information session for parents

Interested in learning more about sending your child to college? Find answers at an information session at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point at Wausau next week.

Parents Night will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, in the James F. Veninga Theater located at the UW Center for Civic Engagement, 625 Stewart Ave., Wausau.

The event will cover topics such as financial aid, the application and admissions process, academic programs, extra-curricular offerings and support services. Faculty members, current and former students, and parents of former students will be available to share their personal experiences and academic information.

"With the lowest tuition in the University of Wisconsin System and top-notch programs, our campus is an ideal fit for students to begin their college experience," said Ann Herda-Rapp, UWSP at Wausau campus executive. "In addition to providing information about our two-year associate degree and the guaranteed transfer program to any UW, we are excited to discuss the new bachelor's degree options available at our Wausau campus and the seamless transition to the Stevens Point campus."

Attendees also will have the opportunity to tour UW-Stevens Point at Wausau.
