Preschoolers and their parents will share time together hearing stories about animals and nature this fall at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point's Museum of Natural History.
Story Time at the Museum is a free, public program that brings natural history to life through books read by UW-Stevens Point students. Each session also includes an activity or art project related to the story.
Story Time is held biweekly on Fridays from 10-11 a.m. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
This semester's programs and book titles include:
- Sept. 14, "Just a Little Bit" and "That Fruit is Mine!"
- Sept. 28, "Too Many Carrots" and "It's Not Easy Being a Bunny"
- Oct. 12, "Tickly Octopus" and "My Octopus Arms"
- Oct. 26, "The Watermelon Seed" and "The Crocodile Who Didn't Like Water"
- Nov. 9, "No Hugs for Porcupine" and "Porcupine's Picnic: Who Eats What?"
- Nov. 30, "Polar Bear's Underwear" and "Adrift: An Odd Couple of Polar Bears"
- Dec. 14, "A Loud Winter's Nap" and "Winter, Winter, Cold and Snow"
Registration is recommended. Call 715-346-2858 or email museum@uwsp.edu, then meet for story time at the museum on the first floor of Albertson Hall (library), 900 Reserve St., Stevens Point. Metered parking is available in Lot R across from the library.
