MEDIA ADVISORY: Guest horn professor in residency at UW-Stevens Point

What:            
Bernhard Scully, professor of horn at the University of Illinois and a former principal horn with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, is serving a Music Department residency at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point this month.
 

Who:              
Scully is on the faculty of the Kendall Betts Horn Camp and Rafael Mendez Brass Institute. He was formerly a member of Canadian Brass, which performed around the world with well-known symphony orchestras and recorded numerous CDs. He is a founding member of the Contrapunctus Brass Trio, a group whose mission it is to help
under-funded school music programs. He has also given master classes at many of the world’s premiere music schools.

He earned a master’s degree at UW-Madison, where he earned the Distinguished Music Alumni Award and was a Paul Collins Wisconsin Distinguished Fellow.
