Aquatic classes for adults offered this summer
Aquatic classes designed for adults with arthritis, older adults looking for a low-impact workout or adults with special needs are offered during the summer by the Special Needs Aquatic Program at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
The first session with eight classes will be offered June 4–28 for a cost of $22. Session Two includes 12 classes and will be offered July 9–August 16 for a cost of $33.
The 45-minute classes are held twice a week on Monday and Thursday in the therapeutic pool in the UWSP Health Enhancement Center, located adjacent to the Quandt Fieldhouse on Fourth Avenue. The Basic Aquatic Exercise class begins at 8:45 a.m. The Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program classes are held at 10 a.m., 11:15 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
