Based in Mexico City,
Pérez-Salas is one of Mexico’s leading choreographers. Her Compañía de Danza
has performed worldwide, including tours throughout Mexico, the United States,
Canada, South America, China, the Middle East and Europe. The works use music
ranging from Mexican composers to beat-driven techno.
“Seeing Tania Pérez-Salas work
is like being inside her head,” said the Washington Post. “Her Compania de
Danza Contemporanea clearly draws its power from Pérez-Salas, and her
surrealistic visions filled the stage and invaded the senses.”
