Enjoy an
evening of food and entertainment while raising funds for music education at
the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point’s 23rd annual Music of the
Masters.
A
scholarship fundraiser for the Aber Suzuki Center (ASC), the event begins at 6
p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, in the courtyard of the Noel Fine Arts Center. A
cocktail reception will be followed by performances by ASC faculty, students
and alumni. All proceeds support need-based scholarships for music instruction
at the ASC.
Event
tickets are $45 before Nov. 1 and $50 after. UW-Stevens Point students may
attend for $25. To purchase tickets, call
715-346-3033, or email suzuki@uwsp.edu.
Music of the Masters, an annual event coordinated by a
volunteer committee, has raised $130,000 since its inception in 1994 to support
student scholarships.
The ASC has provided music lessons to Central Wisconsin
community members for 48 years. It uses the philosophical principles and music
education methods developed by Shinichi Suzuki, that everyone has talent and
can become a successful, sensitive and caring person through the study of
music. For more information, call the Aber Suzuki Center office at 715-346-3033
or go to www.uwsp.edu/suzuki.
