UW-Stevens Point mural artist among Student Artist of the Year competitors
A University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point art and design student is among students from around the world in consideration for the 2012 ArtLA Student Artist of the Year.
Jeni Lila, who designed and installed a new mural in the Trainer Natural Resources Building on campus last year, is eligible to win a $10,000 prize and exhibit at the ArtLA Gallery in Santa Monica, Calif., as well as other prizes if named the top winner. Lila has pledged to donate a significant portion of her prize to the Greenhouse Project in downtown Stevens Point if she wins. Lila is from Stevens Point and attended Stevens Point Area Senior High School.

“It only takes a moment to vote,” says Steve Menzel, development director for the College of Natural Resources. “This is a great opportunity for Jeni and a chance for UW-Stevens Point to toot its horn.”
