Glass artist to give demonstrations at UW-Stevens Point
Artist Jon Chapman will give a glass demonstration at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point this week.
Sponsored by the student art organization, SCULPT, the demonstrations will be held at noon, Thursday, May 10, in the Hot Glass Studio at the Noel Fine Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public.
Chapman is serving a guest residency at UW-Stevens Point this semester. He has taught in New York City, Japan, Ireland and across the U.S. He has exhibited at the Heller Gallery in New York City and galleries in New York State, Oregon and New Jersey. He holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from the School of American Crafts at the Rochester Institute of Technology and attended the glass program at the Halliburton School of the Arts at Sir Fleming College.
