9/10/2012

The key findings and insights from the first year of a University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point study of lake conditions in eastern Marathon County will be presented in a public meeting on Saturday, Sept. 15.
The meeting will be held at 10 a.m. in the Norrie Town Hall in Birnamwood, at the corner of Cornell Street and County Road D. The meeting will review a UW-Stevens Point Center for Watershed Science and Education study that includes Mud, Mayflower, Norrie, Bass and Lost lakes.
Project updates will include highlights from a citizen survey, water quality, shoreland survey, aquatic plant and invasive species surveys and lake maps. Researchers will be on hand to answer resident questions.
