MEDIA ADVISORY: Dia De Los Muertos event at UW-Stevens Point gallery

What:             
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Carlsten Gallery will host a “Dia De Los Muertos” exhibition and celebration to mark the Mexican holiday, “Day of the Dead.” A reception on Wednesday, Nov. 2, will include food, music and activities offered to the public free of charge.

The event is being held in conjunction with a reception for the current exhibit at the gallery, “Descanse en Paz: The Homemade Grave Marker in the Southwest.” In this exhibit, photographer Dick George has documented isolated graves with handmade markers.
