The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point has reached another milestone on the way to meeting its $30 million capital campaign goal. Chancellor Bernie Patterson announced at his annual State of the University address Aug. 30 that the "Then, Now & Forever - We Are Point" campaign has exceeded the $25 million mark.

"All of us here are deeply gratified to the generous donors who have responded so kindly since the campaign started in mid-2013. This is an unprecedented outpouring of support for UW-Stevens Point," Patterson said.

Plans are under way to mark the milestone during the Homecoming weekend, Oct. 13-15. "Having UW-Stevens Point alumni and friends gather with current students on campus enriches our appreciation for a campaign that will positively affect the university for years to come," he said.

To date, donations and commitments have endowed five faculty positions, and more than 30 program funds and 60 scholarships have been created.

The "Then, Now & Forever" campaign concludes on June 30, 2019.
