More than 200 male high school singers from across the state will perform in concert at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point this month as part of the "Brothers, Sing On" workshop.
The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Friday, Jan. 27, and will conclude with a free, public performance at 4:45 p.m. in Michelsen Hall at the Noel Fine Arts Center.
Students will rehearse and perform with UW-Stevens Point music faculty members and David Rayl, a professor of music, director of choral programs and associate dean for graduate studies and research at Michigan State University. An award-winning teacher, Rayl has conducted groups and clinics across the United States and performed worldwide.
The workshop is sponsored by Choral Vision, UW-Stevens Point's student chapter of the American Choral Directors Association, and the Student Government Association.
