Insurance Information

Students do not need health insurance to be seen at Student Health Service. We do not bill third party insurance for our services. However, students are strongly encouraged to obtain health insurance to help cover the cost of such services as specialist referrals, lab fees, immunizations, ambulance transport, urgent care, emergency care and hospitalization. 

If you are insured, we recommend checking with your insurance plan to see if services at clinics and hospitals in the Stevens Point area will be a covered benefit for you while you attend UWSP. 

If you are uninsured, please visit the insurance exchanges at https://www.healthcare.gov/ to determine your eligibility.
