• UW-Stevens Point offers 23 varsity intercollegiate sports, featuring 12 women's and 11 men's teams.
• Pointers teams have won 169 regular season conference championships, 57 conference tournament titles and 13 NCAA national championships. In addition, 49 individual UWSP athletes have won NCAA national championships.
• In 2019 the Men's Ice Hockey Team won the NCAA National Championship becoming the only unbeaten team in history to do so.
• During the 2020-21 academic year UW-Stevens Point earned the WIAC All-Academic Award. The WIAC presents the All-Academic Award to those institutions that have a grade point average for its student-athletes that is equal to, or greater than, the grade point average of the overall student body.
• In 2021-22 the UWSP Men's Swim and Dive Team won their 22^nd straight WIAC Team Title.
  
• In spring 2022 the UWSP Baseball team secured their 6^th trip to the NCAA College World Series.
  
• During the 2021-22 season the Pointers had 64 All WIAC team members, four WIAC Player of the Year award winners and three WIAC Coach of the Year award winners.
