OIRE collects, analyzes, and reports data pertaining to non-traditional students. Non-traditional students are generally defined as those who are aged 25 or older when they begin their undergraduate studies for the first time. We include those who are also enrolled in post-baccaluareate and graduate programs and non-degree-seeking. Non-traditional enrollment indicators include age, academic career level (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Post-Baccalaureate, Graduate, Special Student), gender, college, major/degree program, and courseload.
