Chasing Stars

Friday Spirit Opportunities:

Introduce a first-time delegate (Name, pronouns, and what they look forward to.)- 5 points 

Introduce a Returning delegate (Name, pronouns, and what they want to gain from the conference)- 5 points 

Introduce your advisor (Name, pronouns, and how many delegations they have advised)- 5 points 

Take a picture of a depiction of Stevie Pointer- 1 point 

Have one member of your delegation get a clothespin on our Spirit Chair Gabi without her noticing- 10 points 

Have one member of your delegation play Rock, Paper, Scissors with our Conference Chair Griffin Dietrich- 10 points 

Tell us about a unique feature of your university- 5 points ​​

 

Saturday Spirit Opportunities:

Take a picture of your delegation sitting with another delegation member(s) enjoying a meal!- 1 point 

Retell a constellation’s story.- 5 points 

Take a picture in The Basement Brewhaus.- 1 point 

Find one sustainability feature at UWSP and explain what it is. - 5 points 

Have your delegation make a constellation with their bodies.- 1 point 

Take a video of a member of your delegation doing their best moonwalk. - 5 points 

Find a piece of art in the Noelle Fine Arts Center and explain what your delegation appreciates. - 5 points 

Find and take a picture with the UWSP Library. - 10 points 

Take a picture with The Dog Statue outside The College of Natural Resources. - 1 point 

Explaining the meaning of one object found on The Mural on the outside of The College of Natural Resources. - 5 points 

Take a video of your delegation dancing to a song on 90fm, our campus station. -  5 points ​

Constellation Building

Before the conference there will be 10 opportunities to gain spirit points by posting pictures of your home planet on your RHA/NRHH Instagram Account​ that fit the prompts below:  

  • Post of Statue of the school mascot  
  • Post of Important School Landmark  
  • Post of the inside of your dining hall  
  • Post of a Picture of your NCC/NRHHCC  
  • Post of a Garden on Campus  
  • Post of a Sports Field  
  • Post of a University sign  
  • Post of a Mode of transportation on campus  
  • Post of a Photo in school merchandise  
  • Post of a group of at least 3 team members of your RHA/NRHH 

Each post/picture will be worth 5 points, adding up to 50 points. The pictures can be posted in one post or individually. To gain the points, make sure to tag us @glacurhconf 

Roll Call

Roll Call- A roll call video is a video that introduces a school’s home planet and delegates. These videos will be judged based on different criteria. The points earned from these videos will go towards an overall point score that will contribute to different conference awards. The roll call videos will also be presented at the conference.  

Roll Calls will be graded into 5 categories: 

  1. Theme
  2. School Pride
  3. Energy
  4. Creativity
  5. Inclusivity

Each category will be graded out of 20 points making a total of 100 points. 

Roll Call Videos can be up to 2 minutes and should be emailed to gl_conf@nacurh.org by November 1st. Late submissions after November 5th will not be accepted.  ​

Banners

The banners are going to be physical banners that will be used while at the conference. These banners will be a representation of a school's home planet and make the planet identifiable to delegates, volunteers, and staff members. 

Banners will be displayed on Saturday during the closing ceremony and laid out on tables (they will not be hung).

Banners will be graded on 4 categories: ​​

  1. Creativity
  2. Use of Theme 
  3. School Pride 
  4. Use of MOWII or HOMES

Each category will be graded out of 15 points, with the exception of the use of MOWII or HOMES making a total of 50 points. 

Banners cannot exceed 3’ x 5’ and will be turned in at registration for display and judging.  ​
