ACORN Extravaganza 2011

“A Chance to Read in Company”

The 2011 Extravaganza, a celebration of Margaret Atwood’s Alias Grace, was held on Friday, February 4, 2011, in the Alumni Room of the Dreyfus University Center. Participants browsed displays on quilting, Victorian spiritualism, and phrenology; shared perspectives on the novel, and competed in a trivia contest (the winners: “24 and then some”). The evening also included a performance by the Dance Education Center Tappers (choreographed by Elena Schneiderman), a reading of the Trial of Grace Marks (David Arnold, Sarah Pogell, and G. Christopher Williams), and music by John Coletta and Trevor Roark of the band Green Tea. Join us next year!
