Andy Held - Associate Director

Andy Held

Hi! My name is Andy Held, and I'm the Associate Director of the DRC. I have worked at UWSP since June of 2007 in a variety of roles, including disability accommodations and academic advising. I was appointed director of the DRC in April of 2018. I earned a B.A. in architecture (with a minor in history) from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and a M.Ed. in Student Personnel Administration from Marquette University in Milwaukee.

In my current role as associate director, I oversee our center's efforts to ensure all students have equal access to the university's educational programs and activities. I also work directly with students to develop accommodation plans that meet their individual needs. I enjoy our center's collaboration with many other areas on campus to facilitate access, both in and out of the classroom.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my two boys, watching documentaries and reading about history and current events, and following the Milwaukee Brewers.

Amy Seering - Accessibility Coordinator

Amy Seering

Hello! My name is Amy Seering and I’m the Accessibility Coordinator for the DRC. I started in this position in March 2020. Prior to that, I was an academic advisor on our Wausau Campus for four years. I am a UWSP alumna with a B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I earned my M.S. from UW Stout in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling. I am delighted to be back on Point Campus. Particularly in Albertson Hall, where I spent a lot of time studying as an undergrad.

In my role at the DRC, I primarily work with students to develop individualized accommodation plans to minimize disability related impacts they may encounter in their courses as well as campus life.

Outside of work, I enjoy going on adventures with my three girls, hiking, running, reading and spending time at my family’s cabin in northern Wisconsin.

Cortney Zurawski - Assistive Technology Coordinator

Cortney Zurawski

I started at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point in the DRC in 2018 as a Disability Advisor and in 2020 I found a new home in my role as the Assistive Technology Coordinator. I'm a proud UWSP graduate and spent 7 years in the K-12 setting as a teacher prior to making my way back to my alma mater.

My main role at the DRC is to provide our digital text users their textbook(s) in alterative formats. Additionally, I procure, maintain, distribute, and demonstrate the use of all the assistive technology hardware and software for UWSP students who utilize the DRC.

There's no need to ask me what I want to be when I "grow up", because I am lucky enough to do it every day!

One of my favorite quotes: "It’s your story. Feel free to hit them with a plot twist whenever you want." ~Unknown~

Jennifer Anderson Richmond - Test Coordinator

Jennifer Anderson Richmond

Hi! I'm Jennifer Anderson Richmond and I'm the Test Coordinator for the DRC. I started in this role in mid-August of 2021 but had been employed as a recruiter in the Office of Admissions from 2000 – 2016. My family and I moved to Montana and were there for almost five years. In April of 2021, I decided it was time to come back to my alma mater to continue helping UWSP students. I received my B.S. in Sociology from UWSP in 2000 and an M.Ed. in Student Affairs in Higher Education from UW-Oshkosh in 2008.

I am the person in the DRC who schedules exams, quizzes, and finals for the students who need extra help. I work with students, professors, staff, and the other DRC professional staff to provide reduced distraction environments, proctors, and various technology to ensure that our students have every opportunity to walk across the stage at graduation.

I am an avid reader of audio books and physical books. I also enjoy the outdoors by taking walks with my partner and our 90-pound hound dog, riding my motorcycle, and kayaking.
