Have you heard about BoBabes? We can’t wait to introduce the founders!

Opened in July 2024, BoBabes brings authentic Taiwanese tea culture to life with fresh, flavorful bubble teas made daily along with homemade baked goods and street snacks. BoBabes is more than just a boba shop, it’s a vibrant community hub founded by three inspiring women. Their shop feels welcoming, decorated with local art; it is the perfect spot to connect with friends and neighbors.

The heart of BoBabes is its passionate team: Pei-Ying’s vision of inclusion and community shapes everything from hiring to hospitality. Natalie bridges Taiwanese traditions with Wisconsin warmth and leads BoBabes’ marketing and content creation, telling their story and connecting with customers both in-store and online. Moe’s operational leadership keeps the café humming while deepening local partnerships. Libby Chang, BoBabes’ lead drink-maker, crafts most beverages and loves connecting with guests at the bar, bringing the heart of BoBabes to every cup.

Together, these trailblazing women have created a place where cultures blend, friendships flourish, and everyone feels included. At its core, BoBabes is guided by the mission of Inclusion, Love, and Unity, where it goes beyond tea and treats; it’s about celebrating diversity, sparking meaningful connections, and inspiring others to pursue their passions.

1:30 - 3:45 | Facilitated Breakouts

Breakout Session 1 - Progress Over Perfection: Advancing Your Wellbeing

Panelists: Annie Wetter, Beth Kinslow, Deborah Beyer, Mandy Roberts, and Sallie Scovill

Description: Wellbeing isn’t about achieving perfection. It’s about making space for progress, presence, and personal growth. In this engaging breakout session, we’ll explore the many dimensions of wellness—emotional, physical, intellectual, social, spiritual, environmental, occupational, and financial—through a dynamic panel discussion featuring diverse voices and lived experiences.

In small group interactions and through guided journaling and intention setting, participants will also be invited to reflect on what wellness looks and feels like for them. We’ll explore how small, intentional steps, rather than sweeping change, can lead to sustainable, meaningful growth in all areas of life.

Whether you're just beginning your wellness journey or looking for renewed inspiration, join us in defining personal wellness in a way that is accessible, compassionate, and truly holistic. This session is a chance to let go of the illusive ideal of perfection and enhance your wellbeing through meaningful, yet manageable change.

Thank you to our session sponsor, Center for Women's Leadership!

Breakout Session 2 - Building Bold, Authentic Networks That Lift Everyone

Panelists: Carrie Diamond, Celia Sweet, Kristy Wang, and Michelle Gleason

Description: Too many women leaders are told to “just network" — without being shown how to build the kind of connections that truly support growth, courage, and community. This powerful panel flips the script.

Together, we'll explore how women experience leadership and connection differently — and why the old rules of mentorship and success no longer apply. You'll hear fresh insights on how to:

  • Ask for help without guilt
  • Lead with vulnerability and still command respect
  • Create space for real conversations about equity and fairness
  • Support other women without shouldering it all alone
  • Value sportsmanship in decision-making to benefit everyone

This isn't about transactional networking or climbing alone. It's about redefining leadership as relational, collective, and sustaining. You'll walk away with strong connections, inspired to build networks that nourish you — and communities where everyone rises.

Thank you to our session sponsor, Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin!

Breakout Session 3 - The Power of Presence: Your Story, Your Space, Your Why

Panelists: Ann Illagan, KaYing Vang, and Rikki Harry

Description: Building a brand that reflects your values and invites genuine connection is a powerful way to be heard, understood, and respected—without compromising who you are. When you discover and share your inner purpose, you build trust, foster meaningful relationships, and make connections in spaces where people resonate with who you are and what you stand for.

This interactive workshop will explore the why, how, and who of your story- what drives you, how you show up, and the heart behind it all. Through guided conversation and personal reflection, you’ll begin shaping a narrative and presence that feels real and unmistakably yours. You’ll leave with clarity and confidence to share your story- whether making a pitch, building your brand, or showing up with purpose.

Thank you to our session sponsor, Center for Women's Leadership!

Breakout Session 4 - Beyond the Visible: Recognizing and Assessing Hidden Contributions of Leaders

Panelists: Alex Behrend, Catalina Cabello and Mara Mullen

Description: Join us for a discussion to revolutionize recognition. Drawing from Amber Cabral's "Say More About That" insights and bell hooks' essays on "talking back," this interactive session tackles the persistent challenge of having ideas and contributions acknowledged in professional spaces.

Our panel of leaders will share their experiences identifying the crucial difference between being "listened to" and truly being "heard," and the strategies they have instilled to highlight process over production.  Together, we'll examine whose voices get amplified and challenge systems that devalue behind-the-scenes contributions to develop practical tools for gracefully reclaiming ownership of our ideas. This isn't just about getting credit—it's about creating cultures where every contribution counts and every voice matters.

Thank you to our session sponsor, Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin!
