An opportunity to learn from renowned international artists and be part of a common vision of building bridges across borders. Enjoy camaraderie and learn more about what communities around the world are doing to address environmental concerns about water and building bridges through artistic expression. We will be using acrylic paints (all materials supplied), working on location (though if inclement weather we will be working inside), inspired by our Wisconsin River at Bukolt Lodge.  Students will have the opportunity to exhibit their work in a pop-up gallery at the lodge for the weekend.  ​

Experience with art is not needed!

​Collaboration


This 2-hour painting workshop is part of the collaboration over the importance of water.  The collaboration involves:  the College of Fine Arts & Communication, the City of Stevens Point, and the international artists of Take Me to the River (TMTTR):  Healing Waters.  Emerita Professor of Art, Diane Canfield Bywaters, with the international artists (from TMTTR that will be visiting and exhibiting in the UWSP's Carlsten Gallery with a reception on Saturday, September 23), will be conducting a short, 2-hour workshop on painting. ​

If you are unable to attend the workshop, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing uwspceweb@uwsp.edu.  Requests must be received in writing and prior to the registration deadline, at noon on Thursday, September 21, 2023, to be granted a full refund. No refunds will be granted after noon, on Thursday, September 21, 2023. To receive a refund a written request must be made via email to the uwspceweb@uwsp.edu. ​
