This course will investigate political revolutions as one of the defining characteristics of the modern era. Each of the three sessions will be centered on a specific topic: The Liberal Revolutions of the 18th and 19th centuries, Communism, and Revolution in the Modern Middle East.

Our Instructor


Jeff Leigh, Ph.D., has been a professor of history at UW-Stevens Point at Wausau since 2000. He earned his bachelor’s degrees in History and Russian Studies and went on to receive his masters and doctorate in history from Indiana University. He is the author of “Austrian Imperial Censorship and the Bohemian Periodical Press from 1848 to 1871”.
