Why Menopause Matters

Menopause is a natural condition that affects all women at some stage of their life and approximately 80% have symptoms related to their menopause. Coping with menopausal symptoms at work can be difficult and many women are reluctant to talk to their employer about it considering the subject “taboo”. The average age of menopause is 51 years, this is often an age when women have more senior and stressful jobs that can sometimes be challenging to handle alongside menopause symptoms.  Since women represent nearly half of the labor force, we need to shift our thinking and start considering menopause as mainstream and as important as any other occupational health issue.

Through active coaching support, organizations and individuals can begin to realize benefits in productivity, work culture, life, and the bottom line, when menopausal transition is addressed specifically.

If you stay silent, you are reinforcing the taboo and ambiguous attitude that currently exists.

Through your active coaching support:
  • Individuals can improve physical and mental well-being
  • Organizations can begin to realize benefits in productivity, work culture, and the bottom line
  • You can grow your business, increase your impact and do something that really matters!
You will:
  • Acquire the skills and confidence to holistically coach individuals and groups around menopause
  • Demonstrate that you are up to date with current workplace Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) priorities: women’s health and age
  • Enhance your coaching business in this important area
  • Confidently implement a turnkey, success-proven coaching program - for groups or individuals - that’s easy to sell and deliver (in workplaces or others)
  • Become part of the Menopause Matters community, enabling them to network with Ellen and other likeminded coaches
