This course will provide a basic overview of emergency preparedness for the average, everyday person. Topics will include what kinds of emergencies to prepare for, supplies to have on hand, and preparing for special populations (e.g., children, pets, older adults).

Instructor


Sandy Neumann is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the Marshfield campus, a disaster preparedness researcher, and a critical thinking disaster “prepper”. She has worked with children and adults, both community and school based, with emergency preparedness, as well as helping local animal shelters prepare for the worst.

Cancellation Policy


Refunds will be granted if the Continuing Education and Outreach office is contacted at least seven (7) days before the start of a class. No refunds will be given with less than seven (7) days notice. Programs that involve pre-ordering of materials and/or travel will not qualify for a refund unless your space can be filled from a waiting list. We reserve the right to cancel a course due to low enrollment, severe weather, or instructor illness. A full refund will be issued under these circumstances. BE SURE to provide your email address and phone number when registering so we can contact you if a class is cancelled for any reason.
