About the Presenters

Jeremy Higgins

Jeremy Higgins, M.S.

I am passionate about helping people and working to make a positive impact in the community. My winding career path includes myriad roles in higher education, non-profit, business/entrepreneurial, governmental (local, state, federal), and manufacturing sectors.

As a Career Coach in the Academic and Career Advising Center at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, I not only support students though 1:1 meetings, but also give presentations on resume writing, job searching, interviewing strategies, and many other critical career success skills. I enjoy collaborating with faculty and staff to develop effective methods for integrating workforce readiness preparation into all aspects of the college experience.

Throughout my career, it has been my mission to help students find their passions in order to navigate through life.  My work has always centered on helping students understand who they are and what they want for their future. I spent 24 years as a school counselor, supporting students as they explored their strengths, interests, and goals.

In my role on campus as Career Coach, I continue to guide students as they navigate the often overwhelming process of career exploration. I find it incredibly rewarding to meet with students individually, listen to their stories, and help them take meaningful steps toward their next chapter.
