A clicker is a tool that has been used in positive reinforcement training of animals from chickens to dolphins, as well as dogs. Learn how to use clicker training to reinforce and shape your dog's behavior. Instructor Terese Barta will guide participants in utilizing clickers correctly and effectively. Class will include basic commands, Q and A, and resolving common problems. This six-session course includes weekly lessons and assignments. Classes will be virtual via Zoom, allowing for on-the-spot practice with you pup right from the comfort of your home. Participants will also have limited access to class recordings to revisit lessons.

Our Instructor


Terese Barta, Ph.D., will be instructing this class. Terese is biology professor emeritus of UW-Stevens Point. She has led various dog training classes in the past and trains search and rescue and therapy dogs.
