Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are the heart of the UW-Stevens Point Museum of Natural History. There are many opportunities available for you to share your experience, skills, and time.

Tour Guides

Tour guides lead tours of the Museum to school groups and organizations from the surrounding communities. They help us fulfill our mission of sharing scientific and ethnographic information and serving as a teaching and learning resource for schools and the regional public community.

Collection Volunteers

Help the Museum's collections curators in the care of our non-living collections. Collection Volunteers will assist the collections' curators with cleaning, identifying, preserving, documenting, categorizing, data entry, and any other projects as it pertains to the UW-Stevens Point Museum of Natural History collections. Volunteer duties are collection-specific and are up to the discretion of the collection's curator. Opportunities are dependent on collection needs and availability. For more information, email museum@uwsp.edu.

Want to help in a different way?
Interested in volunteering at the Museum, but you don't fit in with any of our current volunteer opportunities? Have a skill set you want to bring to the Museum? Additional opportunities may be available to you. Contact us at museum@uwsp.edu to discuss other volunteer possibilities.
