Pattern Motif:Geometric
Glass Type:Flint
Manufacturer:New England Glass Company

Description:50 Favorites - 16 The DIAMOND POINT pattern is based on one of the simplest motifs achieved by glass cutters working with a mitre - or v-shaped wheel edge. The diamond design is formed by cutting a series of parallel, v-shaped grooves into the glass in one direction, then cutting through these lines with another series in a perpendicular direction. The motif gives the glass a richly textured, prismatic surface that manufacturers were eager to imitate in pressed glass. (50 Favorites catalogue) M1, p. 34
