Hours and Directions

Schmeeckle Reserve is conveniently located in the city of Stevens Point on the northside of the UW-Stevens Point campus, just a 5-minute drive from Interstate-39.

Visitor Center Hours (starting May 17)

Monday-Friday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday: Noon to 3 p.m.

Trail Hours

Trails open from sunrise to sunset.​
Written permission required from the director for after-hours use.

Directions From UWSP Campus

Schmeeckle Reserve makes up the northern two-thirds of the UW-Stevens Point campus. The natural area is a short walk from any academic building, dorm, or parking lot ... just head north! A popular route into the Reserve is the Granite Parkway trail. Follow Reserve Street north and cross Maria Drive to access it.

Schmeeckle is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of university life. Many students, faculty, and staff enjoy studying, walking, jogging, or just relaxing in the quiet sanctuary.
