Special Events at
Schmeeckle Reserve

Schmeeckle Reserve is an increasingly popular place for runs, walks, biking events, kayak demos, memorial services, weddings, and other special events. To avoid conflicts with other visitors, all events must be approved by the Schmeeckle Reserve director.

• The Friends Amphitheater is an ideal site for gatherings of 50 to 300 people. Visit the Friends Amphitheater rental page to learn more.
  
• The Menzel Pavilion is an open-air picnic shelter with a fireplace for gatherings of up to 50 people. Visit the Menzel Pavilion rental page to learn more.
• The Visitor Center Meeting Room is an indoor space for gatherings of up to 40 people. Visit the Meeting Room rental page to learn more.
• Individuals or groups wanting to use the Reserve for classes/teaching or research should submit an Education and Research Application​.
  

If your group or organization would like to hold an event elsewhere in the Reserve, please fill out the Special Event Application form below. We will respond to your request within 3-5 business days.

Because preservation and education are the main priorities of Schmeeckle Reserve, be aware that some events may not be permitted if they conflict with these goals.
